All the things that remain. In 2019, Noir Darkroom hosted an experimental collaborative project, Noir’s Art School, which invited artists to collaborate, construct and curate an exhibition from inception to execution in 2 weeks. In that time, I attended workshops and critique sessions, and helped establish a concept and name for the show based on a group interests and tendencies. All The Things That Remain was born.
Soon after, I found some tiny discarded bird cages near my house. Centred on these objects, my project developed into an installation which spoke of the lasting effects of having endured a hardship; that although you may now be free, the shadow of captivity remains a part of you.
